Penton Hook is a picturesque marina, set within 80 acres on the tranquil waters of the non-tidal reaches of the River Thames. Close by is the vibrant town of Staines-upon-Thames, you can explore shops, cafes and historic sites.
Runnymede is famous for being the site where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215 and a bit farther downstream, Windsor boasts the iconic Windsor Castle, the official residence of the King. Explore the castle, stroll along the River Thames, and visit the charming town centre. Another nearby town, Chertsey, offers a mix of green spaces, historic sites, and modern amenities including Chertsey Abbey.
The site has four facility buildings, which include showers, toilets and full disabled facilities. There are purpose-built pontoons for narrowboats and Dutch barges, including a number of moorings for vessels up to 30 metres. There is also a private yacht club which organises a full programme of activities.
Fuel is also available and online bookings can be made via MyMDL for Penton Hook Marina and any of our fuel stations in the UK.

The Canal & River Trust have developed an interactive map to help boat users locate facilities along our waterways, including pump out stations, water points and recycling points. The disposal of sewage from boats on the inland waterways is prohibited by law and the navigation authorities require that sea toilets are sealed. Click here for the location map.
