Tom Ward

Marina Manager

Tom took the helm of Northney Marina in the summer of 2023 and has a background in managing health clubs, so is focused on customer service and to build on the thriving social community.

Robert Temple

Assistant Manager

Rob initially joined MDL in 2016 as a Dockmaster at Port Hamble Marina for 5 years, before leaving to help launch a boat club. He returned as Assistant Manager at Northney and Sparkes in 2023. Before joining us, Rob served 24 years in the Army spending many years as a sailing instructor. Outside of work he enjoys playing football, walking and spending time with his family.

Graham Holdsworth

Night Marina Operative

Graham became part of the Northney team in November 2024, taking on the role of Night Dockmaster after a long and successful career in the IT industry. Alongside his strong background in customer service, Graham brings over 30 years of sailing experience to the team. When he's not on duty, Graham can often be found exploring The Solent and beyond, indulging his passion for life on the water.

Simon Goff

Casual Marina Operative

Simon has been a valued member of the Northney team since April 2023, working on a casual basis alongside successfully running his own business for over 20 years. In his free time, Simon enjoys the challenge of completing crosswords and relaxing with a good book, reflecting his love for both problem-solving and literature.

Stephen Harris

Administrator

Steve took on the Administrator role at Northney in November 2024, with six years of experience in the marine industry. Growing up boating in Chichester Harbour, he now owns a Westerly sailing yacht, which he and his family enjoy sailing. Steve also teaches Powerboat Level 2 courses in his spare time, reflecting his passion for boating.

Tom Horne

Marina Operative

Tom joined the Northney team in summer 2024, building on a successful tenure as a casual worker. As a Northney berth holder, Tom has deep ties to Chichester Harbour, where he grew up sailing. He currently owns a Colvic Victor, which he recently sailed down from Scotland — a testament to his passion for life on the water. Beyond his maritime pursuits, Tom has lived in Canada and Australia, where he worked for investment software firms, bringing a wealth of diverse experiences to the team.

Will Wheeler

Marina Operative

Will joined our yard team in July 2024, bringing a lifelong passion for sailing. Starting at age 10, he earned RYA instructor qualifications and competed nationally with the West Sussex Schools Team. His experience includes working in the Merchant Navy on North Sea standby and supply vessels. A leisure sailor as well, Will regularly sailed a Westerly Ocean 33 from Chichester and now owns a Princess 33, with plans for another sailing boat project to further his love for life on the water.
