Marina Manager
Lauren has 30 years’ of experience working in the luxury hospitality sector. At the age of 15 she began her career at the five-star Royal Crescent Hotel in her hometown of Bath and made her way up to senior management. The award-winning Queensberry Hotel and Olive Tree Restaurant was her next role as General Manager for ten years. After relocating to the New Forest in 2015, she ran New Park Manor Hotel and Spa followed by a spell at Cunard before joining RSYC. When not at work, Lauren is kept busy with her husband, two teenagers and two dogs!
Seasonal Marina Operative
George will be with us over the summer months to assist with our boatyard activities.
Receptionist
Indigo started working at Saxon Wharf in late September 2024 as our Receptionist, while gaining exciting new training. She enjoys engaging in face-to-face customer interactions and embraces new challenges. Passionate about helping others, she’s currently studying for a Sustainable Development Masters. Indigo is thrilled by MDL's commitment to the environment and creating a greener atmosphere. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and traveling.
Marina Operative
Jake is a new addition to the team and is looking forward to getting stuck in and progress onto driving all the equipment.
Dry Stack Operative
Jamie joined MDL at Port Hamble Marina in the summer of 2017, before moving to Saxon Wharf in 2023. He worked as a trained chef across the New Forest and more recently worked in retail before opting for a career with MDL.
Boatyard Supervisor
John-Paul started with MDL in 2015 as a Marina Operative, then quickly moved to driving the Dry Stack Forklift. Recently he has mainly driving the Boat Hoist lifting vessels up to 200 tonnes. He recently has gained promotion and now is the Boatyard Supervisor for Saxon Wharf.
Night Marina Operative
Martin has worked at Saxon Wharf since 2002. He works nights and thoroughly enjoys his job.
Marina Operative
Ryan is a fully qualified Marine Engineer with three years of experience in the field. Now, eager to expand his expertise and transition into a new field of work, he brings his strong technical background and problem-solving skills to fresh challenges at Saxon Wharf.
Marina Operative
Samuel joined Saxon Wharf in February 2022 and quickly established himself within the team and has become one of the dry stack forklift drivers. Out of work, Samuel is a keen boater and enjoys getting afloat.
Night Marina Operative
Seth has worked at Saxon Wharf since 2017 as the Night Marina Operative. He enjoys his job and likes to meet the customers.
