Bray Marina Winter News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy season. It’s been great seeing so many boaters, new and old, out enjoying the river in one of the hottest summers we’ve had in recent years. Our onsite tenants have also reported how busy they’ve been - Bray Marine Sales have been actively selling boats all season, many of which have taken a mooring with us, and Primefit Marine have continued to support our berth holders with breakdowns, installations, repairs and servicing.

Hopefully, you’ve also had a chance to enjoy your time visiting the marina and possibly a meal and drinks at Mediterranevm. What better way to enjoy your evening after a day out boating than to wander over with your family and friends and enjoy a five-star meal and some drinks whilst watching the boats go by! They have prepared their winter menu and are also offering Christmas packages, so if you’re planning a visit do call and book first, as they get very busy.

We’ve also had some new faces at the marina, and we’re pleased to welcome Miles, Synan, Russell and Lokelani to the team, all of whom work between both Bray and Windsor marinas supporting the marina operations on an ad-hoc basis. They are keen to assist you in any way they can, so please stop and say hello when you see them.

Sadly, due to the recent weather, the river is now running very fast and we are displaying yellow boards. So, if you were thinking of getting some winter boating in when the sun comes out, please check the river conditions before you leave the house - we’d advise against going out when the river is running. As we draw the season to a close, many of you will be planning on wrapping your boats up for the winter or perhaps having them lifted for some winter maintenance. If so, our brilliant onsite lifting company Bray Craning will be able to assist you with your winter maintenance plans.

We, the marina team, will be continuously walking the site and keeping an eye on your boats over the winter period and if we see anything that needs your attention, we will of course call you straight away. However, we do encourage you to pop in regularly to check on your boat, particularly inside the cabin and bilges, and ensure your battery levels are topped up. Don't forget you can request a service from us to check canopies, leads or even take a photo of your boat by completing a feedback form via your MyMDL account.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your continued support and we look forward to another great season ahead!
