We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year. What a fantastic season 2022/2023 has been for investment: we invested in plant in our boatyard, refurbished our marina facilities and upgraded our marina WiFi.
This season is looking equally, if not more, exciting than the last. We have a fabulous events calendar being put together, the return of our popular trolly of treats throughout the year, more investment into plant and refurbishment and much, much more.
We’re already exploring what discounts and offers we can establish with our local providers to benefit our berth holders - keep an eye out for these on our social media pages and if you don’t currently receive our emails be sure to log onto MYMDL and amend your preferences so you don’t miss out.
We said goodbye to Wayne for pastures new, although he missed us that much he has returned on a casual basis. Andy has stayed within MDL, taking on a new role in the sales team, and Connor has left us to travel around the world. With leavers comes joiners, you may have already spotted them around the marina. We have Charlie, Ben and Declan and are still recruiting for a further Marina Operative. Charlie joined us last year as a casual worker and has now been transferred into a full-time position. Ben joins us from our sister site, Penton Hook, and Declan is new to MDL. You can familiarize yourself with the team by checking out our ‘Meet the team’ board in the marina facilities block and on our website. We will also continue to be supported this season by Jeni, Kieren, Kaylan, Richard, Lily, Wayne and Richard.
Our marina was nominated for a marina of the year award back in September by the British Yachting Awards. We’re over the moon to been nominated for this award and is great recognition for all the hard work the team have put in over the last year – thank you for nominating us!
We’re looking forward to the new season. You can expect us to continue to invest in our marina as we’ve done this season, and the events calendar will be just as packed, and fun-filled!
