Cobb’s Quay Marina Winter News
We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year, for what has been an amazing boating season! The sun was shining, and we had a great list of events this year from Sunset Cruises to Family Days, topped off with an end of season berth holders BBQ with live music and dancing. We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have!
Marina Improvements
To recap the progress over the season, we’re currently in the process of installing a new water filtration system on our slipway, enabling us to further our green environmental programme. We’re also upgrading the WiFi, which is due for completion in December 2022.
The car parking management system will be up and running soon, meaning a more secure marina and in turn should free up more car parking spaces for our berth holders. We have also re-decked the main walkways of both A and C pontoon, and the pontoon fingers will be completed before the new season commences.
The dredging programme has started, and this year we’re dredging between pontoons B & C, which should be completed by the end of December, although this is weather dependent.
Marina Team
We’re pleased to welcome three new team members this year: Ellen Lappin who is our Administrator, Dominic Ockendon who is a new Dry Stack Operative and Shelley Picken who has joined the Dockmaster team. If you see them around the marina, say hello.
The New Season
We’re looking forward to the new season. You can expect us to continue to invest in our marina as we’ve done this season, and the events calendar will be just as packed and fun-filled, including family days, crabbing competitions and much, much more! The Trolley of treats will be doing its rounds, keep an eye out for your pontoon representative who will be giving out lots of goodies (dates will be displayed at the head of the pontoons, check your display board or ask your representative).
Winter Lifting
