Freedom Boat Club announces MDL’s Hythe Marina Village as second UK Location
Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation and the world’s largest boat club operator, has announced the opening of its second company-owned location in the UK at our Hythe Marina Village.
The new club will provide easy access to the Solent, one of the most desirable boating destinations in the UK and is part of Freedom Boat Club’s strategy for continued expansion across Europe.
“After initially launching in the region 10 months ago, we’re thrilled to be adding our second location as we look to expand our UK footprint,” says Jason Worthy, Vice President of Boating Services, EMEA. “This growth represents the positive response from the market and the excitement from consumers to explore some of the most desirable boating locations in our region through Freedom’s boat share concept.”
The stunning new location will provide an additional Solent access point for existing members, as well as reaching new demographics within the region. Additionally, as part of the expansion, members will have access to our 10 south coast marina locations providing ample opportunity to explore the diverse waterways.

Freedom has chosen a superb location, with quick and easy access to Southampton Water and the Solent, ideal for their members to explore this fantastic area. The new location will officially open for the 2022 boating season with new boats being added to the fleet to support the expansion. Membership sales are currently underway.
