Highlights at Hamble Point Marina: News and updates for our customers

Wow, another year has flown by, and Christmas is already just around the corner! A huge thank you to all our berth holders and visitors for your continued support and valuable feedback.

Marina Team

We’re pleased to share that Hamble Point now has a fully operational team, allowing us to focus on the things that will enhance your experience. Here’s the latest from our team:

• New Yard Team Members: Marc, Bill, and Luke have joined the team and are currently undergoing training on the plant and equipment.
• Dry Stack Team Members: Chris, Jack, and Cian are new additions to the Dry Stack team. We’re cross-training them, along with the yard team, to provide additional cover across the site and deliver an even better service.
• Boatyard Manager: Matt, our new Boatyard Manager, brings a wealth of experience to both the yard and marina operations.
• Boatyard Coordinator: Mia has stepped into the role of Boatyard Coordinator, working closely with Matt to keep things running smoothly.
• Dockmaster: Bradley, who impressed us during the summer, has now taken on the role of Dockmaster.

We’re excited to welcome them all to the team and enhance the service we provide.

Tenant News

This year, we welcomed three new tenants to Hamble Point Marina:

• SRJ Technologies
• I ALSO Marine Services
• Urban Truant

Marina Improvements

2024 has been a busy year for upgrades and improvements at Hamble Point:

• Refurbished Facilities: We’ve updated the facilities near the Ketch Rigger, including energy-efficient features and improved ventilation.
• Solar Power: Solar panels have been installed on two large buildings, helping generate renewable energy for the marina.
• Site Resurfacing: We’ve carried out resurfacing work and improved drainage around the site.

More exciting updates are on the way for the 2025 season, including:

• Replacement Bridgeheads and Pontoons: The bridgeheads in the marina will be replaced, along with A and B pontoons.
• Meter MACS Smart Electricity Technology: This innovative system will give berth holders full control of their electricity usage, with online payments and real-time notifications about power supply changes.
• Expanded Berth Holder Facilities: We’re redesigning and doubling the space of our main facilities, adding new family-friendly and accessible restrooms and shower areas.

Marina Events

Keep an eye on our website for details of upcoming events. Here’s what we’re planning:

• Trolley of Treats: We’ll continue to visit the pontoons with the Trolley of Treats, just as we did last year – we hope you enjoyed it!
• Monthly Manager Drop-Ins: Join us for a glass of wine or a coffee at our monthly drop-in sessions.
• Joint Berth Holder Party: We’re working on hosting a joint party with Port Hamble and Mercury Yacht Harbour – more details will follow soon.
