Highlights at Hythe Marina Village: News and updates for our customers
We’d like to thank all our berth holders, both old and new, for choosing to keep your boat with us this year. What truly makes Hythe Marina so special is our lovely customers, and we’re incredibly grateful for your continued support.
We’re excited to share updates and future plans designed to enhance your marina experience. This includes our latest investments, team updates, and community events to bring even greater convenience and enjoyment to all berth holders and residents.
Recent Investments and Improvements
One of our main priorities this year has been enhancing our services, and we’ve made several key investments, including:
- Hoist Upgrade: To ensure reliable, high-quality maintenance support for your vessel, we’ve upgraded our hoist.
- Revamped RIB: Our recently repaired and revamped RIB is now fully operational, helping us manage tasks around the marina, keep operations running smoothly, and assist in emergencies.
- Lock Office Buggy: We’re excited to announce an upcoming investment in a Lock Office buggy, a versatile vehicle that will enable our team to offer even more hands-on assistance around the marina.
- Lock Upgrades: We’re introducing a new Lock control panel, bringing a modern touch to the Lock Office. Plus, our annual Lock shut down for maintenance will ensure the Lock remains fully operational for a seamless boating experience.
Marina Events
At the heart of Hythe Marina Village is our commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive community.
This year, we loved hosting our charity bake sale and duck race in support of The Honeypot Children's Charity, a local organisation dedicated to helping young carers. The event brought the community together for a wonderful cause, with an array of delicious baked goods donated and fun games for families and friends to enjoy. Looking ahead, we’re already planning more charity events for next year to continue making a positive impact on local causes.
We’re also excited to announce plans for a special Easter Hunt in 2025, a family-friendly event designed to bring everyone together in celebration. It promises to be a highlight of the year!
In addition, we’ve been working on enhancing our much-loved ‘Trolley of Treats’ and social calendar to make them even more enjoyable. You can look forward to:
- A wider and more varied selection of treats
- Cheese and wine evenings
- Relaxed coffee and pastry mornings, offering a chance to meet the team and fellow berth holders
- And perhaps even a BBQ or two!
Meet the Team
We’re thrilled to share some recent changes within our team:
- Ryan: We’ve welcomed Ryan to our Lock Keeper’s team. With his extensive experience in the boating industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
- Debbie: Our very own Debbie has stepped up to the role of Marina Manager. She’s doing an amazing job, tackling tasks and improvements head-on, and driving positive changes as we continue to grow.
With their expertise and leadership, we’re confident that we can provide an even better experience for all.
