New Calypso wind instruments on display at South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show

Calypso instruments offer a range of ultra-light and compact solid state wind speed and direction sensors, including a portable solar-powered wireless wind sensor, battery powered mini wireless wind sensor and a highly accurate and durable wired anemometer.

All Calypso wind speed and direction anemometers have no moving parts making them more robust to the elements. Unlike traditional cup and vane sensors with they will not deteriorate over time.

The Calypso wind speed and direction sensors range has three models, the Calypso Ultra-Low Power Wired Ultrasonic Wind Meter, the Calypso Ultrasonic Portable Solar Powered Wind Meter and the Calypso Ultrasonic Portable Mini Wind Meter Anemometer.

The wired sensor can be connected to the boats NMEA network, allowing data to be seen directly on your boats chartplotter or display. The portable versions allow data to be viewed via Bluetooth to your smart device (phone or tablet), via a wide range of free to market Apps are available in IOS or Android.
