Penton Hook Marina Winter News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this season and hope that you’ve had an enjoyable year’s boating.

Marina Improvements

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been busy making improvements to the marina. We’ve continued with the replacement of pontoon decking at various areas of the site. We’ve also resurfaced the paving area around the fuel dock and installed a new self-service pump out facility, which we hope will make a massive improvement to the facilities available on site. We’re committed to improving your experience, so if you notice anything that needs attention at the marina, please report it to the Marina Office so we can put it right as soon as possible.

Staff News

After many years we said goodbye to Andrew Smith, and we wish him well with his future ventures. We’re delighted to now have Paul Messenger on board as Marina Manager. Paul adds his drive, energy and infectious enthusiasm to what is already a dynamic team. Coming from a commercial background, with a wealth of experience across a number of industries and a unique management style, Paul’s aim is to add a touch of ‘je ne sais quoi’ to Penton Hook and do his utmost to increase enjoyment of your boat together with your marina experience.

Paul has been about boats since he was a boy. He learnt to sail on Highams Park Lake in East London and has had an obsession for boats ever since. Paul’s own boat, Judrop, is moored at Hamble Point Marina and, as well as making the most of everything the Solent has to offer, also charters yachts with family and friends for holidays in warmer climes. Paul’s door is always open and he looks forward to meeting you all over the coming months.

Winter Maintenance

As we draw the season to a close, many of you will be planning on wrapping your boats up for the winter or perhaps having them lifted for some winter maintenance. If so, our onsite lifting company Penton Craning will be able to assist you with your winter maintenance plans.
