We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy season.
As the year draws to a close, we look back on a fantastic season, which has seen the sunshine extend well into late October giving an extended sailing season - fantastic!
We do hope that you’ve been on some amazing adventures and made the most of the amazing weather.
There has also been lots going on with our on-site tenants across the year with both the Drift and their themed party nights, and Mistral being very busy out on the water throughout the summer months. This is great to see and brings the whole marina to life day and night.
In June we all celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and there were many bunting-filled parties to be had.
In July we saw the introduction of Boxmarine in the Marina Office, offering dry goods and basic provisions, including ice-creams which went down very well during our hot summer!
Our annual ‘MDL in Bloom’ competition was also in full swing again this year. Whilst Sparkes lost the top spot this time, we were runner-up in the ‘tubs and borders’ category, and we've received lots of comments on just how fantastic they looked!
We’ve also been busy making improvements to the marina. You will have noticed that the groundworks have started across the back of the yard area. This is in preparation for our dry sailing launch pad, due to be operational in April. This will bring back a much missed form of Dry Boat Sailing and has proven extremely popular already when speaking with current and future customers about how this will be operated.
Most recently, we installed a Tesla electric car charger in the car park just by the pontoon bridge. We’ll be installing a standard charger at a later date for non-Tesla vehicles, so watch this space!
Another recent addition is the introduction of Otium points being able to pay for tenant services. This makes a great addition to our Otium scheme and allows even more flexibility on how you can use your points.
We’ve got lots of exciting plans in place for next year. We look forward to the new season, and to seeing you at the marina very soon!
