Peter Leonard Marine is a family-run business based in the UK, established in 1970. Over the years, we’ve grown into one of the busiest boatyards in the area, offering a wide range of marine products and services. Our well-stocked chandlery is filled with everything you need, whether you’re building or refurbishing a craft. From high-tech paints and sealants to safety equipment, nuts, bolts, and engine spares, we carry a large and varied stock. We also offer mail order services across the UK, accepting payments via debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal.
Our extensive chandlery covers all the essentials needed to keep your boat in top condition, both above and below deck. Alongside maintenance items, we stock a range of marine electronics, water toys, inflatables, and boating charts. Founded by Peter H.J. Leonard, the company has nearly 50 years of marine experience. Peter’s expertise spans a wide array of marine systems, and his passion for the industry has guided the company’s growth. Originally based in Newhaven Marina, we relocated to larger premises further up the River Ouse in 1987. The following year, Peter expanded his business by acquiring Irving Engineering, and his son Peter Jr. joined the company, strengthening our experienced service team. In 1992, we acquired river frontage and moved to our current location on Denton Island, Newhaven, where Peter Leonard Marine continues to thrive.
