Managing Director
Mike brings over 20 years of experience in the marina industry, having worked with three of the UK’s largest marina operators. His role at MDL is to ensure the continued delivery of a high-quality customer experience while driving the development of the company’s products and services for the future. Mike’s previous positions, including managing several of MDL’s key marinas and serving as Operations Director, have given him a unique insight into MDL’s future opportunities and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Operations Director
Dan brings over 20 years of experience across the hospitality, leisure, retail, and catering sectors, having led several major UK high street brands within the travel industry. He joined MDL in 2024 to head up the Operations, Infrastructure, and Commercial teams. Dan is passionate about developing his colleagues and delivering an exceptional customer experience. He works closely with all areas of the business to drive operational performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and support business development and commercial growth.

Sales and Marketing Director
Tim brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience across the competitive retail, health, and leisure sectors. An award-winning sales manager, he has earned industry recognition in the fitness sector for transforming the customer journey and successfully transitioning sales from offline to online. At MDL, Tim is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives and campaigns at both national and local levels. He also oversees the group’s sales strategy and product development.
Company Secretary
Cathy joined the Yattendon Group in 2012 as Company Secretary for the Group, Iliffe Print, and Yattendon Estates. In 2015, she expanded her role to include Company Secretary for MDL. Cathy thrives on the dynamic nature of her work at MDL, where the diverse questions and challenges ensure there's never a dull moment. In addition to her MDL responsibilities, Cathy manages pensions, energy procurement, insurance, legal matters, and other ongoing projects for Yattendon Group.
Marketing Assistant
Callum joined MDL in March 2024 as a Marketing Assistant, bringing over a year of experience to the role. He discovered his passion for marketing in 2022 when someone recognised his potential in the industry. Outside of work, Callum enjoys spending time with friends, playing football and also going to watch his local football team Southampton at home and away games. He also enjoys actively engaging with his social media platforms, particularly his LinkedIn account.
Senior Sales Executive
Charlotte has over 12 years of experience in sales and customer service, specialising in the marine industry. Growing up in a boating family, her passion for the water led her to pursue a career in the field. Since joining MDL in 2019, she has advanced through various roles, starting at Cobb's Quay Marina in Poole. Now leading MDL's sales team, Charlotte focuses on developing new business, managing client relationships, and overseeing customer enquiries. Her hands-on experience and dedication ensure the team consistently delivers a first-class experience.
Senior Marketing Manager
Maxine has been with MDL for 25 years and has a strong background in market research. She brings extensive experience in delivering marketing campaigns that prioritise exceptional customer experiences. Her approach is informed by the latest market and industry data, combined with real-life insights gained from being part of a family of passionate boaters. Maxine creates and executes marketing campaigns across the entire marketing mix for both B2C and B2B audiences. She holds a CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing.
Digital Marketing Manager
Richard has been with MDL since 2007, starting in marketing support before advancing to Marketing Executive and now Digital Marketing Manager. He oversees digital communications, social media, websites, and projects, working with internal and external teams to enhance our online presence. He holds a BA (Hons) in Marketing and a CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing. Outside of work, Richard enjoys time with his family and supports Southampton FC.
Regional Operations Manager
Colin began his career at Penton Hook Marina on the River Thames in 1999 as a Night Dockmaster. Over the years, he has taken on various roles within MDL, managing nine of our marinas as well as our holiday park at Mercury Yacht Harbour. In February 2023, Colin was promoted to Regional Operations Manager. He is an avid sailor and has a deep passion for the marine industry.
Regional Operations Manager
Kelly began her journey at Woolverstone in 2011 as an Administrator and steadily advanced to the role of Marina Manager. In 2022, she was promoted to Regional Operations Manager, where she takes great pride in overseeing her sites and embraces the ever-changing challenges that her role presents.
Head of Estates
After earning a degree in Valuation and Estate Management in Bristol, Mark joined Vigers, a Central London firm of chartered surveyors, in 1983. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1985, specialising in lettings, sales, and commercial property development. He left as an Equity Partner after its sale in 2011 and joined CBRE as a Senior Director in Global Corporate Services. Before joining MDL in February 2024, Mark led CBRE’s Exxon Mobil account, overseeing their commercial and operational estate across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Estates Manager
Amy joined MDL in July 2024 as a Chartered Surveyor, bringing a strong background in estate management and valuation. Her previous experience includes working with both private and institutional landowners, where she advised on a wide range of property and land management issues, as well as asset planning initiatives.
Estates Manager
Graham has over 30 years of experience in commercial property, with roles as Development Manager, Consultant, and Leasing Agent for major developments across the UK, Middle East, and Europe. He has advised on airport terminals, railway stations, and motorway service areas, making marinas a natural fit. Graham oversees estate matters across ten marinas at MDL and enjoys engaging with tenants and colleagues at various sites.
Estates Support Manager & Service Charge Analyst
Nathan joined our Estates Team in July 2024 as a Graduate Surveyor, aiming to pursue his APC after completing his BSc (Hons) in Real Estate in May 2024. In his role, Nathan primarily assists the Estate Managers, contributing to various projects and initiatives within the team.
Head of Property Infrastructure
Steve brings with him 35 years of experience in construction and project management. He has successfully delivered award-winning projects across various disciplines and sectors, with a significant portion of his career focused on international initiatives. Most recently, he worked on 'The Wave' development in the Sultanate of Oman, which includes a 400-berth marina, five hotels, 6,000 residential units, and all associated infrastructure. A strong advocate for sustainability, Steve is a BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) and Assessor.
Project Manager
David joined MDL in 2023, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial property operations and redevelopment. As a property generalist with strong creative and commercial credentials, David enhances MDL's skill set by overseeing new projects as the company evolves and invests in the modernisation and sustainability of its estate.
Facilities Manager
Dominique is a qualified Facilities Manager who joined MDL in November 2012. She is responsible for overseeing reactive repairs and planned property maintenance across all sites, as well as ensuring statutory compliance, managing vacant properties, and handling Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
