Managing Director
Mike has over 20 years’ experience in the marina industry and has worked for three of the UK’s largest Marina Operators. Mike's role is to continue to ensure MDL provides a high-quality customer experience, while developing the company’s products and services for the longer term. Mike’s previous roles involved managing several of MDL’s key marinas and latterly as Operations Director giving him a unique insight into MDL’s future opportunities and customer needs.

Sales and Marketing Director
Tim has over 20 years' sales and marketing experience in the competitive retail, health and leisure markets. He is an award winning sales manager having industry recognition in the fitness industry for his transformation of the customer journey process and sales transition from the offline to the online world. His role is to devise and implement strategic procedures and campaigns on both the national and local level, and is responsible for the group sales strategy and product development.
Company Secretary
Cathy joined Yattendon Group in 2012 when she was appointed Company Secretary of Group, Iliffe Print and Yattendon Estates. She became Company Secretary of MDL in 2015. Cathy particularly enjoys the variety of questions and issues that come up at MDL, there is never a dull moment and it certainly keeps her on her toes. For Yattendon, she also looks after pensions, energy procurement, insurances, legal matters and whatever else happens to be going on.
Marketing Assistant
Callum joined MDL in March 2024 as Marketing Assistant with a years’ experience under his belt. He fell in love with marketing back in 2022 when he was told that that he would be great in the industry. When Callum is away from his computer he loves meeting up with friends, playing football and monitoring his social media platforms (especially his LinkedIn page).
Sales Team
Charlotte started her journey in the Telecoms Industry covering sales, project management, new business and customer service. Coming from a boating family she decided she would like to pursue a career in the marine industry and therefore moved from the Cotswold’s to Poole. Her MDL adventure began at Cobb’s Quay Marina as an Admin Assistant, before moving across to a Marina Operative. Charlotte joined the Sales Team as the first member back in October 2020 and covers all marinas in the group.
Senior Marketing Manager
With 25 years at MDL and a background in market research, Maxine has extensive experience in delivering marketing campaigns that focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience. Her approach is based on up-to-the-minute market and industry data, backed up by real-life experience gained from living in a family of passionate boaters. She now delivers marketing campaigns across the marketing mix for both B2C and B2B audiences. Maxine holds a CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing.
Sales Team
Michael joined MDL in 2020 after returning from a 12-month sabbatical, cruising the East Coast of America, The Bahamas and Atlantic Ocean. Prior to that he worked for 4 years in the UK as a yacht broker for one of Europe’s largest International yacht brokerages. Michael also holds a commercially endorsed Offshore Yachtmaster Certificate, is a boat owner and has been an MDL berth holder in Hamble since 2009. He has a huge knowledge and understanding of customer’s needs and expectations, currently looking after our Southampton and Hamble marinas.
Digital Marketing Manager
Richard has been with MDL since 2007, originally in a marketing support role before progressing to Marketing Executive and now Digital Marketing Manager. He looks after our digital comms, social media and websites, alongside ongoing digital projects. Richard works closely with internal and external teams to continuously improve our online experience. He holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Marketing and a CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing. Outside of work, Richard has a young family that keeps him busy and supports Southampton FC.
Head of Operations
Kerry is MDL's Head of Operations and has previously managed several marinas across the group. She has over 22 year's experience in the marina industry and her role is focused on safety, quality and service. She and her team strive to deliver exceptional service to MDL's customers and ensure they enjoy the very best experience every time they visit one of our marinas or holiday parks. She represents MDL on The Yacht Harbour Association's Management Council and is keen to help the industry develop and grow.
Regional Operations Manager
Colin Started at Penton Hook Marina on the River Thames in 1999 as a Night Dockmaster. Since then, Colin has worked in various roles within MDL, including managing 9 of our marinas and our holiday park at Mercury Yacht Harbour. Colin was promoted to Regional Operations Manager in February 2023. He enjoys sailing and is passionate about the marine industry.
Regional Operations Manager
Kelly started at Woolverstone in 2011 as an Administrator before working her way up to the position of Marina Manager. In 2022 Kelly was promoted again to Regional Operations Manager and takes great pride in her sites and loves the ever-changing challenges her role brings.
Estates Manager
In his fourth decade of working in commercial property, Graham's previous roles have been Development Manager and Consultant or Leasing agent of many major Out-of-Town and City Centre developments in the UK, Middle East and Europe. In this time, Graham has advised on Airport terminal development, railway stations and motorway service areas, so marinas completes the transport infrastructure. He enjoys his role with MDL looking after estate matters across 10 marinas and meeting with tenants and colleagues in the various sites.
Estates Support Manager & Service Charge Analyst
Nathan joined our Estates Team in July of 2024 as a Graduate Surveyor with the aim of pursuing his APC, having completed his BSc (Hons) in Real Estate in May of 2024. Nathan’s role on the team primarily involves assisting the Estate Managers.
Head of Property Infrastructure
Steve recently joined MDL and brings with him 35 years of construction and project management experience. He has delivered award-winning projects across multiple disciplines and sectors and has spent much of his career working on International projects including, most recently, 'The Wave' development in the Sultanate of Oman, a project that includes a 400 berth marina, 5 hotels and 6,000 residential units and all their associated infrastructure. Steve is a sustainability advocate and is a BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) and Assessor.
Project Manager
David joined in 2023 with over 20 years of commercial property experience in operations and redevelopment. As a property generalist with strong creative and commercial credentials, David will add to the skillset of MDL looking after new projects as the company continues to evolve and further invest in the modernisation and sustainability of the MDL estate.
Facilities Manager
A qualified Facilities Manager, Dominique joined MDL in November 2012. She deals with the Reactive Repairs and Planned Property Maintenance for all sites as well as statutory compliance, vacant properties and EPCs.
